Ryan Timothy Tannehill III was born on July 27, 1988. He is an American football quarterback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round with the eighth overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas A&M.
On August 3, 2017, Tannehill suffered an injury to his left leg in the team’s first non-contact 11-on-11 practice of season.
After Tannehill gingerly limped off the field, it was reported that the team feared he tore his MCL or ACL and would require season-ending surgery; Tannehill will seek a second opinion. On August 6, the team signed recently retired QB Jay Cutler to act as Tannehill’s replacement.
According to coach Adam Gase, Tannehill currently has no decision on his knee surgery or not surgery.
As far as general information is concerned, his other option is to simply restore partially torn ACL. It is currently unknown when Tannehill will make a decision on how he wants to repair his injury.
