  1. Went for my first lesson last week, and the improvement in my ball striking and accuracy in such a short space of time is way above expectations. Sadly I’ve now got Costochondritis from practising too much and can’t swing a club for a few weeks, so hoping it doesn’t set my progress back too much.

  2. I took my first lesson ever (after 30 odd years of golf) recently (now had 2). I’d got sick of being so hot and cold and not understanding why things went wrong.
Should have done it decades ago. Immediate improvements. Less frustration too as I now understand why I’m playing certain shots even if I’m still rubbish!
Glad you bleat on about it every video 😁
Sterling job on the hospice charity. Wonderful thing to do

  3. I take lessons so I can stop letting myself down on the course. The biggest thing that takes joy out of playing is when I am unable to perform something I absolutely can do (read: consistency). It’s less linked to handicap or even individual shot performance. For instance, I can “miss” by 10 yards, and on one hole thats fine, but in a different situation that may mean I’m plugged in a bunker. Which isn’t going to score well. But I care more that I hit a good shot, and now have to scramble to get a good score. But I hate it when I have an easy shot, and I just totally hit a crap shot. Because it feels like I have zero agency on my score and my game (regardless of “lucky/unlucky miss”).
