Dick Vitale explains why it’s time to eliminate amateurism from college basketball, saying players like Zion Williamson should be allowed to generate their own income even if it doesn’t come from the NCAA. Jay Williams then joins Get Up! to highlight some of the Duke Blue Devils’ weaknesses, including inconsistent shooting and a soft spot on the inside. Jalen Rose also agrees that Duke won’t win it all due to their shooting woes.

  1. Has he really saved NCAA?he still is a 1yr and out like every phenom baller,if he stayed 4yrs then okay yeah he saved college basketball..but to think because he didnt take money he saved NCAA basketball this yr says a lot about whats going on behind closed doors..if they paid the players but only like 20-30k a yr like a minimum wage job would they consider staying all four yrs or still one and done..if it was a junior and senior requirement, helping the ones who not going to NBA or NFL get a head start in saving before they enter the world would it raise the full scholarship college attendance for athletes..that would benefit the college too..Zion is a beast but next yr college ball will be back to dull unless Shaq son plays and dominates or Melo Ball lives up to all his hype and pressure right away..and if they do then they probably go one and done, especially Ball.College Basketball is dying it isn’t saved

    1. That’s right! Protect those multi-million dollar profit colleges and their millionaire shareholders. Lol! Duke would be nowhere right now if it weren’t for Zion. The NC game commanded superbowl ticket prices, that was because of Zion. Zion has made Millions for Duke. More so with him than without him. This isn’t horse racing.
